Christopher Lovelock speaks fluent French, having lived and worked in Fontainebleau, France; Montreal, Canada; and Lausanne, Switzerland. He often teaches and gives presentations in this language.

He is conversant in both Castillian and Latin American Spanish and recently spent two weeks taking an immersion course in Costa Rica. He also has a basic understanding of German and Italian, and can read Portuguese.
